There are times when one would swear that Irini is so close to her abuela and pappou that they live with us all the time! As Amalia grows and Irini realizes that she is part of a larger (than before) family circle, there is a much stronger connection between her and everyone in the family. Today, in particular, this was manifested in kisses to everyone, time and time again. Her antics often include hugs, but today it was group hugs and smootching everyone and everything in the family! Needless to say she is getting love brownie points with every passing moment. Now that Laurence is done with school (the last day was today!) there should be some extra time for bonding and extra quality time! Ah, life is good. Amalia grows with every passing minute (as she sleeps away most of the time) and Irini becomes more animated and conversational. Just today she had her first conversation with a passer by. "Hello. How are you?" she said. Upon hearing the woman's response, she replied, "Fine, thank you." Laurence stood wide eyed and open mouthed. We are ready for the summer and a whole lotta learnin'!
