Time is running, and so are we. Colombia always brings with it a sense of wonder, and a sense of timelessness. In the time we've been here we've done many things, mostly revolving around friends and family... and there are lots and lots of them. With just a week left we are on double and triple events per day, and understandably there is little time to sit down and write a blog post. So, this one will have to be done in snipets of information, just to give you the jist of things. Did we tell you:
- That Amalia's fourth bottom front tooth came out?
- That Irini is rapidly learning how and when to use Spanish? She is often overheard saying 'dios mio' or 'delicioso' or 'donde esta'
- That Natalia's sister, Emilia Patricia, and her two children Pimouz and Avihurik are going to Malaysia in just four days? They got their Malaysian visas today and they are ready to go!
- That Amalia's molars are starting to show?
- That both Amalia and Irini spent close to 10 hours on the flight from Madrid to Bogota playing, giggling, walking and discovering, but had no emotional tantrums at all? It delighted both parents immensely.
- That Irini received a good deal of clothing and shoes as presents? Her current count in Bogota alone is 8 pairs of shoes. Imelda Marcos move over!
- That it took just four days to get over jet lag?
- That we're happy as can be in Bogota?
- That we visited Villa de Leyva for the umpteenth time and were as happy as we were the first time there?
- That Irini got to feed ostriches?
- That it's been a long time since we took the time to enjoy a star-filled night sky?
- That both Irini and Amalia are completely adorable sleeping side by side on the bed? They often cuddle each other as they nap.
- That Amalia will sleep with her mother by putting her hands on the side of Natalia's face, and holding her cheeks, all the while looking at her until she sleeps? Later, if she wakes up, she'll make sure that she takes hold of her finger as she lulls herself to sleep again.
Our time in Colombia continues...
