Amalia's Field Day.

Field Days are a staple of our school community and include lots of activities, often involving water, and always involving classes full of students moving form one station to another, flanked by proud and happy parents clicking away on their phones for posterity and social sharing to extended family. The life of international parenting and schooling. :-)

On this day mommy was busy in school (she was teaching during this whole event) and daddy, though busy, was able to steal a few minutes to get to the fields to see and support his growing and awesome daughter as she moved from one event to another. The fun was there, though the excitement that used to characterize these days when our little ones were little has now changed into simple fun without the "wow" factor. Still, a day outdoors is pretty cool and a chance to run around and, on occasion, spill some water on one's face it's such a tall order. Our girl is growing, but she loves the outdoors and loves activity and we can't be happier!
