The upper teeth are now coming out. Four of 'em. She's saying "dada" and "mama" and putting her hands up from a sitting position to indicate that she wants to be picked up. She can rotate on a dime as she moves from one direction to another, and back again. She's standing herself up and balancing impressively with just one hand. We think she can't be that far off from walking, but who knows. She eatin' solids now: Yogurt (is that a solid?), papaya, apple, rice, Cheerios, bread, cheese, mango, peas and carrots (blended), oatmeal, etc., etc. She loves the water, both bein' in it and playin' with it. She giggles with her sister all the time. She now plays hide-and-seek with her sister too. Irini will sit behind the sofa on the floor so that Amalia can't see her from her initial sitting position. But when she stands up, hands holding firmly to the sofa-back, she can peer out and see her sister smiling at her. She giggles away. Then sits down and repeats the process. Love is so simple sometimes.
